SRI SUDARSHAN
PRECEPTOR  |  Founder & Leader at SKYLIGHT YOGA

Initiated direct disciple of the one of world's most renowned spiritual masters, it is the operation of Cosmic Will that propels Sri Sudarshan to "remove blindness of ignorance and bestow knowledge of true vision by the power of self-effort through divine grace." Sri Sudarshan practices and teaches under the direct guidance of the fully illumined Master and beloved Guru, H. H. Pujyatman Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda, the true and living Sage, "Genius of Yoga," and last direct disciple of one of the most esteemed and prominent Enlightened Saints of Yoga to have lived, Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati. Their centers are the Yoga Research Foundation and the Divine Life Society. Sri Sudarshan also received Initiation from Sri Swami Rajarshi Muni, direct disciple of Sri Swami Kripalvananda, at the Lakulish Yoga University. These are the Masters, amongst others, whose lives encompass and express the entire body, mind, heart, and soul of Yoga.

Sri Sudarshan asks life's most difficult and essential questions, and with profound insight and clarity, transforms the ancient wisdom into simple, focused answers for the modern day. Sri Sudarshan encourages the movement toward Enlightenment through the integration of action, will, emotion, and reason. Sri Sudarshan is based at the SKYLIGHT YOGA Ashram in Miami Beach, Florida where he shares tools for living profoundly and deeply. Sri Sudarshan teaches full-time, internationally.

DAYA
PASCALE GOLDENSTEIN  |  "Heart Of Compassion"

Daya is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, a Reiki Master and a Certified Meditation Coach. Yoga and Reiki practitioner for over 20 years, studying New York, California, India and Florida, and forever a spiritual seeker, she is experienced in many treatments of the mind, body and soul, and holistic healing modalities from different cultures. In India, Daya was trained and certified by SKYLIGHT YOGA as an Integral Yoga Teacher under the guidance of Sri Sudarshan, himself a student of Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda, the last direct disciple of Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati.

Drawing upon her life experiences and professional skills - mother, art gallery owner, cancer survivor, operations and finance executive - her classes are relatable to the needs and abilities of her students. Through deep intuition, compassion and knowledge, Daya uses Yoga and Reiki to guide your path to knowledge, health, acceptance and peace.

SRI SHARADA DEVI
VIDAMRITA  |  "Peaceful Musical Wisdom"

Sri Sharada Devi is a Yogi and Artist at heart. Every moment of her life is spiritual practice. She seeks only to allow Divine Will to operate through her work and play, and sees every interaction with every being as an interaction with the Universe. She currently teaches Yoga, meditation and music. Sri Sharada Devi expresses the divine creative impulse primarily through the mediums of sound, words and dance, although at the deeper level, knowing existence is the Divine Artwork.

Her education includes a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in classical music from the Manhattan School of Music in NYC, and three 200-Hour Teacher Training Certifications in Yoga and Spirituality: Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga; Tantra and Embodied Feminine Leadership; and Integral Yoga and Meditation with Sri Sudarshan at the SKYLIGHT YOGA Ashram in Miami Beach, FL. It was the constant self-analysis and ever-increasing awareness that led Sri Sharada Devi on the search for real happiness, freedom and truth. Through direct teachings, space-holding, artistic inspiration or pure presence, the aim of her work is the same: to guide others towards the knowledge and experience of the Self - absolute Truth, Consciousness, Bliss, and infinite Love!​

SRI URMILA DEVI
SKYLER GOSS  |  "Enjoyer Of Sacrifices"

Sri Urmila Devi established a strong body-mind connection early on through her years as a gymnast, starting in high school and joining the West Point Yoga Club. Curious about the deeper practices of Yoga, Sri Urmila Devi was drawn to the SKYLIGHT YOGA Ashram in Miami Beach where she met her Teacher, Sri Sudarshan, and Guru, Swami Jyotirmayananda. Through this intensive Yoga Teacher Training, Sri Urmila Devi learned Yoga as it was originally meant to be understood in Vedantic wisdom. Her experience awakened the truth of herself within. She realized that life is a beautiful melody, and her purpose is to help others attune their hearts into the sweet sounds of divinity. 

Sri Urmila Devi has her A.A. in Exercise Science and a B.S. in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology. She is engaged in leading the US Army Reserves' health regimen; practicing and teaching Yoga is and always will be her most essential duty. You can rely on Sri Urmila Devi's calm and gentle personality to soothe your entire being into the ever-present reality of the soul. Her expertise in human movement keeps everybody safe and smiling on their mats and her loving heart supports everyone's unique journey!

NIRAMAYAH
KARLA GOMEZ DE LA PENA  |  "Freedom From Diseases"

Niramayah is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Breathwork Coach and SKYLIGHT YOGA Teacher. Her greatest passion is bringing the age old concept of self-healing to our current society that has lost many of its natural proactive abilities and instead has become dependent on receiving synthetic treatments and passive medication. Her goal is to inspire others to learn to trust their instincts, get to know, and love themselves as they are, and help them connect the dots of their present state of health through her therapies, empowering workshops and classes.

Niramayah is capable of changing mental and emotional wellbeing in just one session, leaving you feeling energized, clear and more connected to your truth. Niramayah was inspired by her own health issues from childhood Asthma and later on Psoriasis. Niramayah's desire to heal herself naturally led her to discover Ayurveda and Yoga. She trained with Vaidya Anita Sharma, a 3rd generation Ayurvedic Doctor, as well as having had the opportunity to study and learn Yoga from Sri Sudarshan at SKYLIGHT YOGA. Niramayah sees life through an Ayurvedic lens where the unexplainable can be explained through ancient holistic approaches, believing in yourself, harnessing your personal power and trusting that the universe has divinely conspired to help you live your highest and best life.

SRI UMESH
MAX PUJALS  |  "Abode Of Good Will"

"Know that there is no need to find oneself, because one has never lost one's real Self. Yoga began to soothe my heart, yet I was too young to realize the special meaning of the path laid before me. Many years later, I joined Sri Sudarshan on the SKYLIGHT YOGA Expedition to India. Through Sri Sudarshan, I met and became initiated into the art and science of Mantra with our revered Guru, Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda, in Miami, Florida. With Vichar (self-inquiry), Viveka (right knowledge) and Vairagya (dispassion for illusions) further illuminating my understanding, everything took a new and divine meaning. I feel fortunate to sit in the blissful presence of a Master imparting teachings of the Vedas. What I have learned from the Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Vasistha and Bible, and listening to the Guru's sublime teachings, has changed my inner essence and made me a kinder and sweeter person. I am serving in Miami and Nicaragua to promote serenity, humility and devotion.

Through Guru’s grace, I share what I have learned to others, being a pure mirror and living for the good of mankind. Admiration for the Divine Feminine in nature helps me recognize God’s grace in all forms. My inspirations are my Guru, Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda, and Swami Kaleshwar. When we come into this path of Yoga, the friends of all traditions join their hands and meet in the Divine.

SANATAN SHISHYA
DASS SHANTI KAUR  |  "Eternal Disciple"

Sanatan Shishya, filled with the desire to serve others, received her degree in Social Welfare at Barry University yet it was with Yoga that service became an essential part of her life. Drawn to the spiritual path at a young age, Sanatan Shishya found Yoga to be in alignment with her calling and was later deeply inspired by Kundalini Yoga. She has served the Miami community by organizing and leading Aquarian Sadhana, and later creating Ambrosial Sadhana. She received her certification as a Kundalini Yoga Instructor with Kundalini Yoga Miami, and then returned to India to train for her certification as an Integral Yoga Teacher with SKYLIGHT YOGA, having just ended a 13-month training with the Gong Avatar Academy. Sanatan Shishya also graduated as a Nationally Accredited Psychosynthesis Spiritual Guide from the Psychospiritual Institute.

Sanatan Shishya loves traveling to deepen her faith and understanding of people, cultures and the world. She regularly attends Satsang, discourses on spiritual scriptures at the Yoga Research Foundation by Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda, a direct disciple of Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati and proponent of Integral Yoga. Sanatan Shishya aspires to share the modalities that have inspired her own healing and transformation by guiding others to live in authenticity, self-love and service.

DHANANJAYA
JENNIFER LEVINE  |  "Victorious Spiritual Wealth"

"I like to think Yoga found me." It all started at the young age of 15 when Dhananjaya walked into a secondhand bookstore and saw a book that would change her life forever — "Yoga Asanas" by Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati. Yoga, meditation and self-love became such an integral part of Dhananjaya that she pursued a second degree in Eastern Religion and Culture with a centralized focus on Yoga and Meditation. This illuminating study would prove to continuously shift and take on new forms. It would pave the way for Dhananjaya to explore not only the deeper workings of the Self, but also other cultures and languages.

Dhananjaya decided to further her passion for Yoga and was certified in India, the very birthplace of this practice, by her dear friend and Teacher, Sri Sudarshan at SKYLIGHT YOGA. It was during this Certification that her love for Karma Yoga (The Yoga of Action) expanded and she has not stopped sharing, learning and teaching since her immersion. Dhananjaya's journey continues as she travels in search of new cuisine, textiles, lifestyle alternatives, spiritual exploration, existential conversation, and with it, experiential knowledge to live by and share with the world.

NICOLÁS VALDOVINOS
JEWEL OF SADHANA  |  SKYLIGHT YOGA Teacher

After a spiritual awakening at the age of 20, Nicolás Valdovinos went on a deep dive into himself. Tirelessly studying subjects such as metaphysics, mental and emotional wellness, mindfulness, eastern philosophy, universal principles and more, while working as a server and in direct sales, Nicolás applied the teachings of Yoga from his studies as well as his learnings from life experience. Nicolás was then guided to meet his first personal mentor, Anupam Das, who taught him the most important and fundamental principles of living a heart-centered, spiritual life. A life of devotion to God, morality and the guidance of intuition.

Having received his 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification with Sri Sudarshan, at the world-renowned SKYLIGHT YOGA, Nicolás looks forward to sharing the profound truths as well as the vast treasure of Yogic exercises with others, with the aim to help as many people as possible live happier, healthier and more blissful lives.

VIJNANA
KASIA JABLONSKI  |  "Knowledge Applied By Action"

Vijnana enjoys learning Yoga through living Yoga. Yoga is both the path and the goal. With this deeper understanding, Vijnana encourages first timers to try Yoga: "All one needs to come with is an open and playful spirit. Wherever you are in your practice, consistent Yoga will transform your life as you know it, and there will always be more to learn. With each discovery of truth, manana (reflection) will move you towards purification and further curiosity." Vijnana's favorite verse from the Yoga scriptures is, "What is non-being is never known to have been and what is being is never known not to have been. Of both these the secret has been seen by the seers of truth." - Gita 2.16

Vijnana was moved spiritually when fully-immersed in the birthplace of Yoga, and now seeks to share her learnings from India and SKYLIGHT YOGA Teacher Training. Vijnana teaches a unique flow of classical Yoga; integrating pranayama, asana and meditation principles. Vijnana welcomes and inspires all to look within, and to Yoga, for answers to all of life's questions.

NIRVIKALPA
LAUREN JOBE  |  "Perpetual Self-Existent Bliss"

Nirvikalpa has been practicing yoga for over a decade and has experienced first-hand the benefits that it has on the body and mind. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training with SKYLIGHT YOGA in India and continued her study of Yoga and meditation while living and working at an ashram in the mountains of Colorado. These experiences and the guidance of Nirvikalpa's teachers helped to deepen her personal practice and also inspired her to serve others and support them on their own journey to wellbeing. 

Nirvikalpa's approach to teaching and practicing Yoga is to keep it simple. In every class, we practice the asanas (poses) with a balance of effort and ease, turning our awareness inward and connecting each movement and breath. Nirvikalpa is grateful for the opportunity to share this practice and empower others to attain their highest potential, both on and off the mat.

Paramo Prem is a SKYLIGHT YOGA certified Teacher. He is passionate about empowering and inspiring others to live authentically. His approach is a holistic one, with the main goal being a sense of well-being and Cohesive Union achieved through intentional care of the mind, body and spirit. 

Yoga has only been in my life for a couple of years, and I am inextricably drawn to it and beyond excited to share Yoga with the world. I know in my heart there are both people to teach and inspire and people to be taught and inspired by. Integral Yoga is a direct path to this, a mesh of both the divine and the mundane, allowing us to connect on a fundamental level - transcending our different experiences, world-views and realities.
